Editorial Policy

Editorial standards for factual invoice factoring guides, source use, tone, corrections, and non-promotional presentation on FactorAtlas.

Editorial standard

FactorAtlas separates sourced facts from educational explanation. Facts in company profiles are tagged to a public source. Explanatory content in guides and articles is written against publicly available legal, regulatory, and industry education references.

The site does not publish fabricated fees, ratings, user reviews, provider interviews, credentials attributed to unnamed sources, or hands-on testing claims. Provider rankings, star scores, and lead-generation framing are not used anywhere on the site.

Tone and framing

Pages are written in a neutral, informational tone. Sales language, superlatives applied to specific providers, and outcome promises are avoided.

Where multiple interpretations of a contract term exist, the site presents the range of possible meanings and recommends direct verification rather than asserting a single interpretation. The goal is to help a reader ask better questions, not to substitute for professional review.

What we cover

FactorAtlas covers invoice factoring as practiced in the United States: accounts receivable financing, spot factoring, construction factoring, freight factoring, medical receivables factoring, and closely related receivables structures.

Coverage extends to related contract concepts including UCC Article 9 filings, notice of assignment, recourse and repurchase obligations, reserve accounts, chargebacks, and concentration limits.

What we do not cover

The site does not cover purchase order financing, asset-based lending, merchant cash advances, or business lines of credit except where those products interact directly with a factoring arrangement.

The site does not interpret a reader's specific contract, assess a specific provider's suitability for a specific business, or provide legal, financial, tax, or credit advice. These require professional review of the actual documents and circumstances.

Updates and corrections

Company pages show a Last checked date. Educational pages show a Last updated date. Pages are not updated on a fixed publication schedule; changes are triggered by source verification, reader corrections, or changes to referenced regulatory guidance.

Correction requests should include the page URL, the specific statement at issue, and the public source supporting the requested change. Send requests to [email protected]. Requests are reviewed in order of editorial priority.

Corrections are prioritized when they affect company identity, contract terms, fee statements, legal meaning, source attribution, or content that could mislead a reader before signing.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made by the FactorAtlas editorial team. No factoring company, broker, or commercial lender has reviewed, approved, or influenced content before publication.

The site currently carries no advertising, sponsored content, affiliate links, or paid placements. Company profiles are included or excluded based on the availability of qualifying public sources, not on any commercial relationship.
